How do i chose the right size tandoor for home use?
Tandoor size is dependent on the number of people you are trying to cater and your expertise level on using a tandoor. Browse our home tandoor range which is categorized on number of people that the tandoor size can handle. Do note that the smallest tandoor in the hands of an experienced user would turn out more than a large tandoor.
Are accessories included for use with each tandoor model?
Each tandoor has accessories for good cooking practice and the details for each are given ‘IN-THE-BOX’ section.
What type of payments do we accept?

What charcoal to use in my tandoor?
Any type of charcoal or briquettes works with the tandoor. Lump wood charcoal gives the best results though but do not worry if you do not have wood charcoal for the tandoor. It still shall cook great and the difference of charcoal can only be known after a few sessions of working with the tandoor as charcoal would burn differently depending on the temperature of the place you are in and the moisture levels.
Can i use wood in my tandoor?
Wood is not recommended for the tandoor. The reason being that wood has high flame when it starts burning and later settles down very quick. The high flame of burning wood (Not all woods but in general) is not good for cooking or the clay pot. So would should be avoided to be used in the home tandoor.
How do i do first firing of my gas or charcoal tandoor?
First firing is a very important step in tandoor burning especially in a new tandoor and one should follow the first firing steps available in the instruction manual accompanied with the tandoor.
Do i order spare skewers with the tandoor?
Every tandoor model comes with 12 pcs or 10 pcs skewers including 2 pcs for bread removal. Its only recommended to buy extra skewers in the following case
you have too many guests and you are planning to keep all skewers ready and not skewer food again during the tandoori session
you need more skewers for a particular cuisine - example, You just want to do more kebabs and want more skewers suited for kebabs

Do i need extra gaddi for my tandoor?
One Gaddi is included in the box for the tandoor and since this comes with changeable cloth cover you would not want to order any extra unless you need to keep separately for different breads. Is pizza plate included with the tandoor?
Pizza Plate for the tandoor ovens is available in 3 sizes as of now. One if solely for the GT-400 BBS tandoor and then there is one for GT-525 Tandoor Model and the GT-80 model plus we have the best tandoori pizza attachment for commercial tandoor ovens with mouth sizes 15 inch to 19 inch. Pizza plates need to be bought extra as per size.
Can i leave my tandoor outdoors when not in use?
Tandoors can be left outside with the metal weather cover (provided with most models of Golden Tandoors) but its always advisable to keep the tandoors indoors or under a shade when not in use. This helps them stay away from rain or snow and avoid excessive moisture.
Can i use home tandoor indoors @ home?
Strictly Not - tandoors should never be used indoors since they have skewers that would get red hot when you are removing them which in turn can touch the tight space in a kitchen and/or come in contact with any combustible material. Smoke from the tandoor be it gas or charcoal is much higher so like a BBQ these too need to be outdoors for home use.
Does the tandoor come with instructions on usage?
We cannot teach you to be a chef as tandoori cooking is learning experience with practice. The tandoor comes with an instruction manual to help you do the first firing and maintain the tandoor.
How long will a home tandoor last?
Most tandoors under home usage that get damaged beyond use are due to leaving them in snow and/or rain. If the tandoor is under a cover when not being used and with a very little care it shall last you for decades.
What all will my home tandoor cook?
There is no limit except for the size of the produce that you expect to be cooked in a tandoor oven. Vegetables | Meat | Breads | Pizza’s | Burgers etc etc. Larger quantities in a given time require a large tandoor and larger portions also require a large tandoor to be used.
